My ex is a lying cheating whore

I heard from a friend that the dude my ex cheated on me with tried to break into her house and kill her while on a coke binge.

Meanwhile Im diggin life and moved in with my awesome girlfriend and going on. I think I won.

I don't see it as winning or losing.

It's life. It may not sound so good now but in time you'll remember the good times and still have sense enough to keep moving foward, and away from trouble.

My 20 yr marriage ended this last April. She said she's changed.
Was a bit cruddy at first, but I met an awesome girl a Cuppla months ago & my ex IS very annoyed that I've fallen on me feet. She's the screwed one and I'm SO glad I'm outta that mess.
The only thing that's annoying is all the legal rigmarole. That's The BIG pain in the butt.

A move forward to civilization would be to make marriage as hard to get into as it is to out of.

Simply fair.

Oh old sage bawana, tell me the secrets to a life well lived. Share your knowledge with us mere mortals old sage bawana.

:D

The secret to a life well lived? It's too bad but my life was lived by the time if figured most of this out.

I try to avoid negativity. Things like envy, jealousy, hatred. Perhaps the worst of these things is seeking revenge on people.

I've found the best "revenge" is to enjoy your life. A minute spent hating is minute not spent loving.

And trying to be less attached to physical possessions.

One of my friends has gotten her self a stay at the Stone Hotel. Seeing this puts Flats V Rounds into perspective.

She destroyed her life just to get back at her EX. I doubt he knows she's still alive.

I'm hardly prefect but I try.

People are not monogamous by nature. Thousands of years into it and we still can't accept that...

I find serial monogamy works. People grow. Men learn things, they change perspective.

And our needs change. We were never meant to be living this long. So we have to change our way of living to adapt.

Think of the kinda of gal you wanted 30 years ago.

I'll bet it's different from what you would like today. This is an extreme case but it makes it easy to view.

Devil's advocate here: How do we know it's not the OP's fault? Y'all are taking his word that she's the one that was the problem.

When things like this happen I think it's the tendency of most people to attempt to affix blame rather than just stepping away and getting on with their lives.

Humans' are flawed creatures. Looking for perfection is ourselves or others isn't going to work.

This will make some people upset but in all probability there isn't "fault."

It's just people being what they be. Flaws and all.

I think someone asked about there being more polemics, adversarialiality, and more of a things being black and white.

I don't think things, as in human interactions, are really black and white but a constantly shifting field of grey. People like the clear lines of a black and white world. The greys are confusing. But I think that where reality is.

My first serious girlfriend cheated on me with at least 3 guys - woo long distance relationships! She's since put on at least 100 pounds and failed out uni and community college, the latter being something I didn't think was possible, and can't seem to hold a job. Karma is unforgiving, to say the least.

Agreed. If there is blame to be assigned in these kind of situations I find it usually can be apportioned in equal amounts to both sides. It's never as cut and dried and one-sided as either of the parties involved would have you believe.

People is not a lot of stuff by nature, we don't have wings yet we fly and we move on top of wheels, do you think that is natural?

Monogamy is a choice, if you choose to fail to it then it shows your lack of ethics and values - don't blame nature! ;)

It's ok to stop loving someone, but you don't have to cheat on them to solve the problem, just be honest break up and move on.
