Venting can be very therapeutic. You got hurt and said what you needed to say. I would let the thread die but leave it up if you're ready to move forward.
If your ex ever wants to reunite with you, refer to this thread as a reminder of the pain you endured. I am in that situation right now. My wife left me for a guy she met at work 3 years ago, took our 14 y/o and moved across the state with no prior warning.
I never saw this coming and was crushed, It's taken all this time to start recovering. I've suffered multiple financial and health setbacks. She wasn't there for me when I needed her most.
Now I've got a new job with serious potential and have started seeing an absolutely stunningly beautiful, SANE woman who just rocks my world. And NOW the wife says she made a huge mistake and wants to get back together.

So my brother in bass, move forward and when you want to look in the rear view mirror, you'll find it here! Indeed I have my own vent thread on another forum that I refer to in weak moments.

yeah, Chuck,... it happened to me more than once. (life on the road is brutal) i always act like it doesn't matter when the xgf(s) would peak in on my life. i miss them all due to my loving nature, but when/if they ask to return, i calmly refuse to even discuss the matter. the last one has a kid now and after 3yrs still calls and wants to come by. i must admit i do miss her, but too bad,...
