My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME

;)

Guess this means I gotta get a DR bass? ;)

Nope, DR is a string company and can go on any instrument that requires strings to be playable. Brands like Fodera, Ken Smith, Sadowsky, Elrick, Fender, MTD, etc... should only be used on those brand basses. :D

Doodaddy is a good friend of mine and I'm always messing with him about this. :)

Damn, now I HAVE to buy an MTD!

It should be easy to talk the wife into now that I've got proof!

You're right, but I'll try Fodera, Ken smith, DR strings waiting that Wal adds strings to their catalogue :ninja:

BassStringsOnline - Wow, I have to add my 2 cents. Most everyone here knows they have a great selection and best shipped prices OK. But, Jason also provides information on the winding lengths of various strings, going beyond general descriptions like "long scale" short scale" etc. He also took the time to reply to a thread I started, even though he knew that a sale would probably not result. Now that's customer service.

He's definitely the man and a rare gem for sure!

Indeed! Can't wait to get your thoughts on them all.

I've got a few sets coming in as well. :)

Wish my experience would have gone as smoothly as the rest of yours seems to have.

Ordered a set of Rotosounds with the 85 gauge A string...which they charged my credit card for immediately.

Waited a week and a half for shipment info.

Went to their site and looked at my recent order page...no orders.

Sent them an email...no response.

Waited another day and sent another email...and also flagged this transaction with my credit card.

That got a response...nasty email from bass strings online explaining they didn't have the strings I wanted in stock and that I shouldn't have disputed the charge.
Oh and they deactivated my account with their site.

Too many other choices for buying strings out there to deal with this type of service.

Obviously just one guys experience and seemingly quite contradictory to the norm...but figured I'd share it.

We send out a generic email after we process your initial order request if an item is not in stock. You should have received that email.

We did not receive any actual emails from you. However, we received 2 CRM tickets from two separate email addresses other than the email address your order was received from.

One CRM ticket was received 7/2/2013 4:36:00 AM and my reply was sent at 7/2/2013 3:39:24 PM. (I have been home stuck in bed during this time)

2nd CRM ticket was received 7/2/2013 3:39:39 PM and my first reply was sent at 7/2/2013 3:41:49 PM and another email reply from me at 7/3/2013 4:05:07 PM and a 3rd at 7/3/2013 4:13:07 PM when I received the charge-back notification from your credit card issuer.

I had not received any email replies to any of the messages I had sent you.

In my email replies I sent you an explanation of what the issue is. I have been out of my office since June 27th really sick. Today is my first day where I am actually up moving around. So yes my emails did get behind, but I answered each of your emails that I actually received.

I do not feel it is fair to say you did not receive any email replies when they are clearly time stamped in our CRM manager. First email reply was less than 12 hours after your first email, the next was literally minutes after your 2nd email was sent.

The reason why you do not see any orders is you have THREE accounts registered on our website...

Three separate email address's, all at gmail, one with your actual name, and one with a name related to a hobby. However the order was placed with an email address that starts with the letter "P", you will see your order information there. Any emails related to your order would have been sent to the "P" email address.

Your account was deactivated due to the fact that we sent multiple email replies to you but did not receive a response. Your account is now active again.

As I sent you in an email this morning, even though you have received a full refund I am still going to fulfill your order and I apologized for the delay as this is not something I normally have issues with.

Hopefully in the future you will give my company another try. Rotosound is having some kind of problem fulfilling these strings and I am sorry it affected your order.
