My experience with bassstringsonline.com

Thanks again everyone!

I received a bunch of registrations recently. A few of them did not have any note about being a Forum Member, so if you did not get a confirmation email, please PM me with your name or email address so I can get you setup!

Thanks again everyone!

Glad all you guys are giving Jason a chance! :)

Glad to do it, he is a FIRST RATE guy in my book! I had a question about a couple different brands of string-he actually grabbed the different sets, and really checked them over! No run of the mill answer from him. Who does that nowadays?

I liked juststrings.com a lot, but I like Jason better now! Oh, and if you like Ken Smith strings, his prices can't be beat.

capnsandwich - Thanks for Registering! I sent you an email confirming your VIP status. I am working on adding more string manufacturers, but as I mentioned above, I am stocking strings, so new manufacturers will be added over time. I will look into carrying Sadowsky's in the very near future.

Oh, I wasn't trying to whine. I'm just glad we have a fairly active TB'er starting a company like this. I mean, I like juststrings.com but I never see them on TB. Having a string vendor here makes it a little more personable, no, A LOT more personable.

I did not take it as you trying to whine at all!!! I want to add more!! I want to add A LOT more!! Strings as well as specialty items for Bass etc... I have Guitar Strings as well, so for those of you who play guitar, I can supply them as well... but the priority here is BASS and BASS RELATED.

The fact is, I can start setting up with different manufacturers here and there, but I want to have the items on hand to minimize waiting. As I am like most of you, I hate waiting for things, so I want to have the items either in-stock or readily available before I offer them to my customers...

I am planning on getting in touch with them and a couple of other manufacturers soon. Keep posted on the BassStringsOnline blog and also in the Bazaar/Strings thread for new product updates.

I have been a part of this community for years, and I hope BassStringsOnline will be as well for the years to come!

I agree with you on all counts. Jason is a great dude to deal with and honest. I asked him a question about string life and he didn't BS me at all.

Great guy, no doubt!

I agree with you as well. Also, Jason offers free shipping right now. I have NEVER got that from Juststring.

As do I man!

Keep in mind. The "Free Shipping" offer is on orders over $55 for this month. International customers enjoy an instant $5 savings on orders over $55.

Check the Promotions page from time to time - Invalid Link Removed.

I plan on also introducing "Daily Deals" and if there is enough interest for one specific product, I can host a "group buy" for forum members.

But you will find, with the VIP pricing enabled, you will already experience some great savings!

Last night I was playing around with "custom" sets of D'Addarios. Trying to find a good "cheap" string for the back up bass. I added a set to my cart and went and got some ice cream and began looking over the site some more and I got this:

Hey!

I noticed you put a custom .045 .065 .085 .105 .125 D'Addario custom set in your cart.

It will be a little bit less to purchase - Invalid Link Removed

EXL165

and a single Low B

Since the .045 .065 .085 .105 is a standard set from D'Addario.

If I caught this order, I would refund you the difference... but might as well catch it now!

Now that my friends, is service! Jason could have let me order a more expensive set without hesitation. But he's looking out for what's best for me.

A great dude that guy is! :)

Thanks guys :D

By the way... Adding the "VIP" pricing to your account is not automated... So please wait until you receive a "Bass Strings Online VIP Status Active!" eMail before it is applied to your account.

If you do not receive an email within 12 hours, please contact me through the site or via PM. Most are setup right away though...

Thanks again!

I feel silly for buying my Chromes off the bay :rollno: I have bookmarked your site though for future string purchases, Jason! :bassist:

Are there any shipping restrictions to Australia, by the way?

Haha! I've bought strings off Ebay plenty of times man. Usually from individuals selling off some sets though. One time I ordered from a seller and a month went by and I didn't get anything from him. Emailed him and he didn't respond back. :hmm: Ebay intervened and refunded my money though!

I'm REALLY glad I found Jason and his site to get my strings from though. Great pricing and customer service!

There is one brand that I can not ship internationally, but if you are interested in Chromes that will not be an issue. Send those there all the time. I am still tweeking the automatic international shipping calculation on the site, so at the moment only USPS Priority Mail international is available. It takes generally 6-10 business days but if customs gets in the way it could take longer. USPS Global Express is available for an additional price, 3-5 Business Days. There is international first class, but there is no lead time listed for that, and imho, not as reliable.

So to ensure the best international rate, if you either need the strings faster than 6-10 days or are buying more than a couple of packs of strings, please contact me and I will make sure you are getting the best rate on shipping...

Thank you all for registering! Those of you who have this morning should have gotten your confirmation emails before this post.

I am looking forward to working with all of you in the near and distant future!
