if she'd denigrate and demean you in such a flippant offhand way, she's not worth keeping.

Some bitter pills.. "Skank ***"?? Really? "Punch her in the ###"? Really?
Can you speak your opinion w/o emulating gutter trash or degrading another person you DON'T even know?
If somebody said that about your woman, you'd want to know where they lived.
sh*t happens.
ive come to terms with that.
relationships are far from perfect, but the key is to forgive.
if you, not you specifically, cant learn to do that...
you are going to be unhappy for a long, long time.
she admitted to her mistake and apologized, and theres not much more i can ask her to do.
and i have forgiven her for said mistake.
I've been married to a great woman for 15 years who loves me and my basses.
I'm sure some of the other lonely, bitter bass players here will take your advice to heart.
/ thread...it has been determined that she didn't think and he is ok with that.
And another thread is done in the land of TB.
Case closed.
I read this forum religiously and hardly ever post a reply, but honestly i felt compelled to reply to this. I have been playing bass for over 35 years and have been married almost 30 years. My wife considers my bass my mistress because it takes me away from her so often. I know to a certain degree she resents this intrusion into our life BUT she realizes that I love to play and that this is a passion that I must pursue and she RESPECTS that.
I would never hear a comment like that in a private setting let alone a public one. She may not like the competition for her time but she is proud of my ability to play the bass and supports my musical diversions at her expense. So the bottom line to me is that your girlfriend doesn't have a clue to your feelings on this matter or she would have not said that even in a joking manner. I am not sure where you are going in this relationship but I can tell you this for certain. If you plan on a long term relationship with this girl you better commuicate your passion for music and this instrument and setup some expectations and guidelines or you are going to be one miserable bass player or what's worse one former bass player.
Dump her.
thanks for the closure?
im pretty sure this will bounce around here for awhile longer.
