Yeah - the primary intent of a gun is to fire a projectile at a target, this target can be a can, paper an animal, a person - it's the wielder of the gun that chooses a target!
Now the primary intent of a baseball bat is to stricke a ball real hard. However it's secondary use could easily kill someone! Doesn't it bother you that this perfectly harmless piece of wood can be turned into a killer in the wrong hands......
Oh wait, isn't this debate pretty much about the wrong type of person with the wrong type of implement????
I don't own any guns (I have a .22 air rifle for pest control). In Britiain, handguns are banned. Doesn't stop people getting shot though!
