My Marcus Miller Mod

I find myself being drawn back to Precision's after playing Fender Jazzes almost exclusively for the past 5 years or so.
I'm thinking about throwing a Nordstrand NP4 neck and an NJ4SV bridge, Bartolini NTMB 4.7 A/P preamp into my Macus Miller Jazz. Gonna go with a custom Tort guard.
Of course I'll keep all the original parts.
Where else could I get a P/J with all that my Marcus has to offer? The most harm done would be shaving a tiny bit of weight off of a hefty bass from the route for the P pickup.
I actually prefer the slap tone I get from my 60's Classic Jazz in Burgandy Mist with CS 60's pickups/passive to that of the Marcus...go figure
Just thought I'd run it by you guys and see what ya thought ..

I'm gonna be looking into getting my pickguard made first. Any recommendations as to who could do it for me would be welcome.
I listened to your clips Remo. That's what I'm looking for! Killer thump, my man! I wonder how much difference in tone that I'll be looking at with my 70's bridge pickup placement and tonewoods.
Does anyone know what the normal position for the J pickup is in a typical P/J setup. 60's or 70's placement?
