I think effects are cool, even though I use none on the bass myself. But, every single box and the two connections to/from it open 3 possibilities for failure or difficulty with each unit.

Anyway, I just hope everything works perfectly for you each and every time. Effects are cool, and I respect you're into 'em. When they work well, and are used well, effects can be awesome. I bet you sound awesome.

Well funnily enough my guitarist has the same problem and he only has 5 pedals.

If you read the post you took the time to quote ;) you'd have noticed this isn't really intended for live use it's more for studio stuff and the odd jam session. But I only buy quality effects these pedals are in parrallel loops so if one chain fails the other chain will still work, depending on how I set my blends up I will be able to bypass this whole board in a single click which is true bypass so even if the power fails (presuming the amps stay on) I'll be able to get my sound through the board and to the amp. I make all my own cables that I test when putting together the board. My main band board I take apart every couple of months to clean and change all the cables out even though they are never faulty.

My band board is much smaller and I can just unplug in less than a second and plug into my amp, which is a nice tube beast, but again at home I've got another 3 amps and 2 cabs (5 cabs in total) that are used for other things just as the pedals are.

I'd be interested to know what effects, cables and power supplies your guitarist is using as mine uses what ever pedals I score him cheap and then the cheapest power and signal cables and wonders why he has tone loss and problems.

With proper planning you can have a 100 pedal pedalboard with total redundancy and little to no signal loss.

Right close to last update now.

All my stuff from Tone Factor came in

Boomstick Bottom Feeder

Xotic X-Blender

So all I'm waiting on is the SMM/H to come back from Toasted which will be today or tomorrow and I'm done.

I won't be able to finish it till Saturday really as I need more daisy chains so I'll go get them Saturday if Diago still doesn't have them in.

But I was really glad when the EB's just slotted into the space I had left for them.

So tonight if I've not got much practice (Had a gig last night so couldn't try any of them) I'll get everything tested and decide where it's going etc.

I'm so excited right now

Well in that case, congratulations to you. Seriously, I hope I get to that point soon too. There are only a few more pedals that I really want right now (i.e. the NoiseBox) but I keep stumbling across new fuzz/OD/distortion pedals every time I turn around. That's my weakness.

So, grand total, how many pedals do you have on both boards?

Just need to get 2 daisy chains this weekend and I'll be able to power it all at the same time.

Also expect a few soundclip and review threads for the new pedals ;)

Finally Diago got some daisy chains instock so I've just bought 3 of them which will finish off this board and do my other misc one as well.

Unless I get some noise issues I'm planning on running the whole big board from 1 Shredfreak Power supply.

So hopefully the daisy chains and my SMM/H will arrive tomorrow and the fun can really begin.

I'll be doing some sound clips at the weekend, thinking about it I've only done this setup with a V8 as a sound source which is going to be my main background noise but I'll try it soon with bass playing, I put the trem before the noise box as the swells and things sound very interesting.
