My MTD 635-24!!!

HI

Hey neighbor. You dont now?? LOL Probably not. Nice piece. Good luck with it. Bet it sounds amazing. I had a 535, wenge/wenge. Sold it for the same reason, too bright and brittle. Im sure the maple/rosewood is nice and sweet

I don't know what? If I'm actually going to keep this one? After tonight, I'm positive. I rehearsed and recorded with it, and it is the finest sounding and playing bass I've ever touched.

that myrtle burl looks great tony. mtd's are such elegant looking instruments, i love mike's work! any gigs coming up? id love to see that thing roar through your epi rig live in action!

Actually, I just talked to Mr. Tobias the other day and he corrected me that the top is maple burl. I should have some gigs scheduled really soon, and I'll be sure to let you know.

i thought it looked like maple. my martin keith custom is going to have either a maple burl top or a horse chestnut top...not 100% sure yet. deffinitely let me know about the gig situation. we are takign a month off from gigging to train a new guitar player and a sax player (tim veeder from the burners uk). so we should be gigging again again in early march....enough of that though, back to this killer bass!

Thanks! I am very open to making a good deal with another TB'er for the Skjold if they want it! Just pm me!

Nice bass. As with any bass it's all in the wood combos that determine if it has the right sound for you. I am expecting my new Roscoe SKB 3005 sometime TODAY! It's Flame spalted maple on mahoghany with a highy figured Chechen (Rosewood family) fingerboard. Man I can hardly wait! :bassist:
