My new bass rocks out loud!

whole·some
[hohl-suhm]

–adjective
1. conducive to moral or general well-being; salutary; beneficial: wholesome recreation; wholesome environment.
2. conducive to bodily health; healthful; salubrious: wholesome food; wholesome air; wholesome exercise.
3. suggestive of physical or moral health, esp. in appearance.

:D

I am in a metal band. Last practice, they were all telling me that something was wrong, the bass just didn't sound right. No matter how many knobs I tweaked, though, no one was happy with my bass sound.

Now I realize I made two HUGE mistakes.
1. Had a powerful amp. My tone lacked any wholesomeness whatsoever.
2. Was using a sunburst bass, instead of black.

I just bought an electric bass guitar, and lemme tell you, it rocks my world! I haven't even plug it in, but man, even unplugged, it has best sound in the world!!34!!
I know, no pics, no bass, so here ya go, me playing it!
Ready? Go!

Was the bass pointy at all? That could be number 3. You can't have one of those lame "Fenders" with the stupid rounded edges and contours.

OP says: Black basses and 5 watt Crates are good for your health.

So, what you're saying is...I should sell my Alembic, Fenders, Kramers and Squiers and buy a BC rich, sell my Hartke and Acoustic rigs and buy a 5 watt Crate amp if I really wanna be awesome and wholesome at bass?

If you wanna be the best, you gotta play the best. And all your stuff sucks. :help:

I was just jamming out to some Dragon Force and my new B.C. rich black widow and my crate 5 watt mega amp that it came with. It has such a wholesome tone and warm punk and awesome crunch. The black makes it look epic.
if anyone wants advice on a bass rig just post your questions *goes back to rockin' out*

To paraphrase the late, great Peter Boyle:

I could have eaten a box of Alphabits and crapped out a better post
