Main room is all clear to stage a bunch of boxes from GIK. The vestibule is also empty, so I’ll have plenty of room to continue cleaning up all the trim if the shipment arrives early.

Thanks!Silky, I've probably said this before, but I don't comment very often but I've followed this thread from the beginning. Great work! Great to see you getting so close to completion! Excellent stuff.

I’m confused
All of the GIK boxes are in Portland. According to UPS, most of them will be here tomorrow. That said, now three of them say they’ll be here on Friday. Odd shipping arrangements at UPS Portland.
I just looked into it a little more. There are 14 boxes in the shipment. Ten of those were sent from Atlanta to Seattle and are out for delivery today. Three were sent to Portland and are scheduled for delivery on Friday. One was sent to Redmond (a community about a thirty minute drive east and a little north of Seattle) and is delayed with no expected delivery date. The Seattle and Portland split is odd, but the portion that went to Redmond is super weird to me. Also, why if that one is just across Lake Washington in Redmond it got delayed... I'll never understand shipment logic. As somebody currently doing data analysis for a logistics company, every shipping hub in the country is a madhouse right now. It's the busiest week of the year. I'd just be happy that any of my boxes are showing up on time.
Considering the fact that I work for the government, if I were leaving for a private appointment with a vendor I'd be in some serious hot water. We pay for everything with tax dollars, so nothing can be done with a vendor, contractor, consultant, etc. without going through the Municipal Research and Services Center roster of SOQs (Statement of Qualifications). It's a big deal. Can't have people's tax dollars spent on companies receiving preferential treatment.we expect them all to be hung tonight, time to leave early from work, something about "an appointment with a vendor"....

Sure is. I don't recall the brand. It's my wife's. She loves all things vintage.Nice! Incidentally, is that an antique typewriter on the shelf over there?
