Does the glue even out enough so that the surfaces of the panels are flush with one another? Any issues with oozing out the edges?

Per the manufacturer; As long as your distribution pattern is relatively even everything will spread out effectively. Their product videos show an even clumpier version of what I did here. My subsequent panels got better in terms of even distribution.

With the light outlet box protuding, any trouble getting the hole in the plaster board to align and fit?
The light box has to protrude that far because of all the layers involved and the air gap between. It wouldn’t be as far out if I didn’t require a middle leaf on the ceiling due to the venting.

I usually get things like that backwards.
I’m no stranger to backwards hole placement, as is evidenced by the image below 
I cut them white side up, then flip them over onto the hoist for Green Glue and final placement. In doing so I inadvertently cut the whole for a light 180-degrees from correct. Fortunately the bulk of the panel was used elsewhere.

The last task before calling it a night was to have my wife help me snap chalk lines along the trusses so I can attach the Whisper Clips to that half of the ceiling without being able to see the trusses. We were able to see them at the ridge and at the connection to the double top plates at the wall tops, which made it pretty easily.

Is the glue just for the ceiling so the Sheetrock doesn't work itself down past the screws? Looks like just screws for the walls.
Green Glue is a sound insulator (that may not be the technical acoustics term).
Green Glue is a sound damping compound. Note that it’s not dampening, but rather damping which is the process of converting acoustic energy into thermal energy.
I definitely overdid it yesterday. My cold symptoms came flying back today. I felt a little better earlier and made some progress, but petered out quickly. I’m now laying on a couch with no intention of getting anything else done today, studio or otherwise
I managed to finish moving my stockpiles around for the next phase of work, got rid of a bunch of cut pieces of plywood and drywall, finish off another section of subfloor (LP 3/4” TG composite plywood attached to the substructure, Green Glue, 11/32” plywood underlayment), and test fit a couple Whisper Clips. I did the test fit since I’m going through more material than is typically called for due to my need to have a middle leaf on the ceiling. As such I stepped up the screws to #8 x 3” since they have to go through the 5/8” drywall and 15/32” plywood before hitting the truss. Fortunately they sunk into the truss without too much effort (#8 screws are no joke!) and the clip felt rock solid as a result. I installed two clips and will leave them until the rest of the lid and subfloor are finished so I can see if the drywall compresses under them, or if they’re good to go as soon as they’re installed.
Hopefully I’ll be back at it tomorrow.

Finally back to it. My cold ended up being strep throat. Yesterday I probably could have gone back to work, but I opted to take another full day of rest and recovery so as not to re-aggravate symptoms. So out of a 10 day vacation from my day job I’ll get, at most, 3.5 days of work on the studio. First the work was interrupted by permitting, then by building delays, then by funding, and now by illness... the universe really doesn’t want me to finish the project! No pity party though. Time to buckle down and knock this thing out!

There’s a huge amount of mass below the sub floor (many feet of crushed rock, concrete blocks, steel, and Roxul) but I still wanted to get a layer of Green Glue underneath the flooring. My footfalls between areas I’ve finished and ones I’ve not sound remarkably different. It could just be the difference of two layers, it could be the GG, or likely a combination thereof. Either way I’m optimistic this added effort will be worth it in the long run.

Seeing it makes one appreciate that it’s going to be a pretty heavy ceiling.
Since the ply will be carrying many layers of plasterboard, were there extra fasteners required in the ply over what is used for the plasterboard?
