Lesson learned: The panel hoist cannot be used for panels shorter than 48”, but the top of my head is an able substitute.
The real pain of working with so much material in a small space is that I have to constantly rearrange my material stockpiles to leave room to work. Time to get some drywall out of the way so I can keep going!

Due to the aforementioned space constraints and constant moving of stockpiles I decided to concentrate on one area entirely. In other words, fully assemble the middle leaf, and attach the Whisper Clips for the inner leaf in an open area rather than working in complete layers like I’d prefer.
Enthusiasm and tiredness are powerful allies and enemies, haha. I just started screwing off the first piece of drywall and realized I forgot to apply the Green Glue.
Time to take that panel down, add some GG and then put it back up.

That’s a nice power caulk gun. Better than squeezing.
Time to vacuum, you don’t want dust on the drywall surface when applying the glue. Does the standard operating procedure require wiping the surface down with a tack cloth before aplying the adhesive?

The dust on the ground won’t get onto the panels for the lid. I sweep it out when I hit milestones, or the build-up gets too nasty. I’ll be very fastidious about it when I’m doing the walls and sub-floor.

Counting down the days until I can get back to work. Friday I'm going to pick up a new caulking gun. Saturday and Sunday are both partially shot, but I'm hoping to get SOME work done. Monday through Friday of next week are wide open as I've taken a vacation from work to do nothing but studio construction. Lastly, I've intentionally not scheduled anything for the following weekend so I can continue working. With a little luck I'll get most of the drywall installed over this period of work. I'm cautiously optimistic about how much I can get done, and I'm not-so-secretly hoping that I get further than expected.
Just so you don't need to stop to snap photos for all of us, you could set up a camera to get some time-lapse footage of the process!

New caulking gun procured. They didn’t have a powered one that would accommodate 28oz tubes, so I just went with the good ol’ fashioned type.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat and a bit of congestion. I hosted a large public meeting at my office last week and shook the hands of a lot of people from around the region. Couple that with working a lot of very long hours in advance of this construction vacation and it’s not inconceivable that I might have caught something. The universe really doesn’t want me to finish this project.
Hoping it passes. Staying hydrated. Fingers crossed...

Cold symptoms are slowly decreasing. Fortunately they never really turned into much beyond a scratchy throat. I’m going to take it easy tomorrow with the hope that I’ll be able to hit it full power on Monday morning.

It’s a Tutmarc/Audiobox 736. It recently sold. There’s a big article on it online as well as a ton of history floating around. Basically the oldest known electric bass guitar, predating the earliest Fender by 15 years. The owner and I will have a thread up talking about it and the gathering of folks here in Seattle that I put together.

I have a Cort headless bass, similar to the one below. Interesting how the body shape is similar to the Tutmarc/Audiobox 736
Cold symptoms have subsided (close enough) and I’m hard at it. I’m making solid progress. I’m currently on a break in the middle of relocating my drywall stockpiles. Once those are moved I’ll be able to finish the first two layers of the ceiling’s eastern half!

It comes out super easy which is nice since I couldn’t find a powered caulking gun that would accommodate 28oz tubes without ordering one or driving across town. It’s a breeze with a manual gun, so all’s well.
