My New SX!

Personally, I love flats and thats all I use. They are MUCH less abrasive on your fingers. Most rock guys use rounds though.

IME Elderly Intruments have good prices on strings. I just paid 27 dollars for some Labellas that are 42 dollars on juststrings.com. Locally they are close to 70cdn I believe.

Dont worry about what people say around here 50% or more of the people on here are negative grumps possibly do to age or lack of talent. Oh and there are some snobs floating about.

And so you should post for if you can't share your excitement with the bass community then who you gonna share it with. Congrats on the new bass and hope you get as much enjoyment from yours as I have from my SX and Douglas.

I really like that model.

Dont get me wrong guys. I just tried to say - there are already threads about SX (Essex Bass Club etc.) so why dont place it there?
Anyway - play it, enjoy it and love it. Out.

He got a new bass...he deserves a thread.


McStuff...if you want some new strings, PM me and I will send you some new strings if you are in the CONUS....they are some of those strings that several of us bought from SamAsh a month or so ago and I got like 20 packs....I haven't used any of them but I am sure they are better than what came on the SX. PM me and I will send you a pack or two...no charge.

I did as well and like them so much that I just placed another order for 40. This is by far the best deal I've come across in a long time... 66¢ for a set of strings that will easily last for more than a couple of months worth of practice, rehearsals and gigs.

Sounds really nice. Good deal! Something funny....this clip played in iTunes on my Mac. Immediately after, the next song was a live song, so your clip was followed by 30,000 screaming applauding fans. Took me a sec to realize it was the next song.
Good job for the recording, and welcome to TalkBass.
