My New SX!

I was a big fan of the Hartke strings as well and really prefer sizes 45-105 but this Sam Ash deal can't be beat although they're 45-100. No big deal... a little tweaking on the E string and it's all good. To think... I have +50 sets of strings left. I think I'm good for the rest of the year.;)

BTW, I tried to figure out why they are marked at ultra-extreme-clearance prices and I think it's a matter of an error in packaging. The E-A-D-G strings are put in sleeves marked D-G-B-E respectively. Thankfully I know what string goes where.

It's misleading because it says they cost $2 per set and also that you get 3 sets for $9.99. But it's not either of those, they get marked way down when you add them to the cart. Maybe it's a system error, although you'd think they'd have caught it by now if it was. Meanwhile I've gotten about 25 sets of strings for maybe 10 bucks. It'll be awesome if they stay with that pricing though, makes having several basses much more affordable! Though I still use Rotos for gigs, I don't have to drop $18 when I need new strings on my practice basses that get grimed up the most anyways.

Stuff, I love your sound clips. Sounds like a good bass, with decent tones.

But I couldnt quit laughing at the timing! It was perfect, but much slower. Its what I expect those songs would sound like when pulling a Doobie Brothers! In a Cheech and Chong sense.. :D

I started out on guitar about 6 months ago, and I was still getting used to the fret spacing of bass. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If they're at least as good sounding (or better) than the Hartkes I use for daily stuff, I'll be very happy. :)

I bought 41 sets.

...for $37 shipped.

***. Greatest deal ever. Bass strings for life.

Now I know why they go out of stock so fast! Just kidding, I figured why not pay what I'd normally pay for a set of strings. So I just ordered 25 more sets for like $22.00 dollars grand total. That price is just unreal, I feel like I'm in bizzaro world or something. Wow! :hyper:
