My OT Summertime Blog / Vent Thread

So the car was being funky this morning and I ended up turning around and coming home (just what I need... an other bill).

We went to move the last little bit outside and OMG THERE WAS AN ADULT CAT IN THE DRESSER!!! Yes, alive and well. We caught it and put it in a carrier that they left behind. We called and spoke to the ex tenant and they were 'busy in South Jersey', we called again and they would be there when they got to us... so when we finished we set the cat up with some of our food and a big dog dish of fresh water and locked it in one of the bedrooms. We are going to have Animal Control come pick it up and since they were at the house, knew it was there (we thought they took it) and left it on purpose (the wife thinks they put it in the dresser, I am pretty sure it climbed in itself) we are going to press charges against them on the poor cat's defense.

This is why I'll NEVER get in the house owning/renting business. I saw this happen with my dad's properties too many times. People can be such animals.....

at this point I can almost afford to just not rent. So I am going to be EXTREMELY picky about who I let in next time.

As for the kittens, they had me up again at 1:00am but after that feeding, they let me sleep until almost 5:30am (which I would have been up for work without their assistance anyway).

Okay, 9 days later and the house is emptied of stuff, junk and rugs as well as a first run at cleaning the walls. We quit at 2pm today after removing all our stuff and setting off 8 bug bombs in the sealed up house.

Next step, reclean the walls and then prime the place head to toe.

Here are the shots I took today:

Also, the township showed up yesterday and took ALL of the stuff we piled up outside (pile was the size and height of a Dodge Caravan!).

well last week was a bust... I ended up catching a cold and took the week to regain my composure. I just picked up everything I need to start priming Tuesday morning.

We lost one of the kittens :( the one we have left is doing good though
here is a vid of it eating last night

The house is coming along... slowly. Current money vs time estimate has me in for xmas.

Update time... I needed a reason to get back on TB. I've been too beat to play at all. I'm basically doing EVERYTHING myself and it's going slow.
