Pickup cavities routed. Output jack drilled.
Final sanded.
Flooded with thinned penetrating epoxy , now to let it cook for several days in well ventilated 100 degree shelter / workspace.

That looks terrific as is. Given when the originals were made, and I wanted one when they came out, part of me wants it to have some gaudy 80s metal paint job too. You’ll clearly need to build a second one…

The flake failed to gel in my mind. Staring at the killer redwood 1/4”veneer ..

Yeah the Tigereye topped knobs, with the black classic witch hat form will gel/ complement the entire assembly.

This bass will be a MONSTER.

Rigid Torrified maple neck with CF stiffening rods. Which will not have any finish applied.
Sanded to 5000 grit and cotton diaper buffed vigorously in the sunlight at about 90 degrees , with TINY amount of Johnson’s Paste wax. The heat and friction ensures that the wax won’t be sticky later (Left fretboard raw , light mineral oil buffed in) It shines like lacquer , enhances the grain like oil, chatoyance is now evident on the headstock. The neck shaft is SLIPPERY!!!

Just about 10 Lbs
The black Babicz bridge and black tuners, black 916pickups.com MFD prototypes , the knobs.

Wiring in series, 500K volumes, 250k tone .1uf cap.
