you mean clank?.... I suppose so. I get clanky tone out of everything over here thanks to the rig's preamp.

I used to have an '88 Charvel 2B. I replaced the stock Jackson pickups with active EMGs (no onboard EQ). Really improved the tone. My friend Sean had a 3B around the same time and I recall it had slightly more punch...likely due to it being neck-through.
The crackle finish Jacksons and Charvel were highly coveted back in the day.

I had a lava crackle 3b and 2 rainbows a 3b and a 4b. ( still have the 4b rainbow )
