N.B.A. thread

Nope. They totally brought it in game 4. Harden was amazing.
Yup they did. Lets see how both teams come out tonight.

Funny i thought Cleveland would be the one to let up a game and they did quite the opposite and stepped on the gas. LeBrons been in 5 straight NBA finals now. Doesnt matter what anyone thinks of him, to do that in this era of talent, thats impressive.

Oh yeah and that inconsistency where Horford got ejected and Howard just gets a flagrant 1 for his swing on Bogut is ridiculous. And the explanation as to why was even worse.

Horford shouldn't have been ejected. IMO.
Indeed, and while we're on the subject, I've had it with Dellevadova. I'm sick of hearing that he "gives 100%", he's "scrappy, old school", etc. Pffft. I wish this guy played 20 or 30 years ago, when opposing teams were still allowed to give guys like this the payback they deserve for rolling up on people's knees/ankles. Imagine if he tried this nonsense against the Bad Boys-era Pistons--I'd like to see "Delly" try to go into the lane vs. Mahorn and Laimbeer after that.

Ahhh man that would be a scene. Not only did the NBA have some crazy characters back in the day but they werent all friends who hung out in the summer either. It was all competition and someone took out a teammate like that back then, they had a bullseye on their forehead next game. Speaking of crazy though someone like Vernon Maxwell would have murdered this kid, even if it was just during the 2nd quarter of a preseason game, if he tried that on him lol

Oh yes, Mad Max played for my alma mater, so I'm very familiar with his antics.

So the Finals are set. I view it as a battle between The Most Complete player vs the most Complete Team. Should be good. But idk I have to stick with LeBron. Just feel like something legendary coming from him, but could go either way.

Last nights game was brutal. Harden goes i think 1 for 8 in the last 3 quarters. And I remember watching the game and just thinking somethings not right here. If i was a high stakes betting man who just lost a big chunk of change on the Rockets last night, and was obviously bitter, I can see myself throwing out some Pete Rose-esque accusations towards the beard lol Don't think thats the case but come one now. 13 turnovers in a game? and watch some of these, come on.

Each of James Harden's record-setting turnovers was worse and more stupid than the last - SBNation.com

Despite quite possibly the worst playoff performance I have ever witnessed live, i'm very proud of what the Rocket's did this year, as well as Harden's growth. We were counted out in every series, hell, we were even counted out to make the playoff's at the beginning of the season by some. We ended up taking the second seed in one of the most stacked WC as well as get to the WCF. We even managed to push through to the WCF with 2 starter's out. I couldn't have asked for a better season. I truly believe we can win it all in the coming season's if we keep this core of guy's and get a 2nd ball handler.

Yeah that looked bad and in a bad spot too but agreed totally not intentional. Hope he is good to go since no one likes to see a series when teams arent at full strength. Cheapens the accomplishments.

Klay should be recovered by Thursday night. But of course Kyrie Irving isn't going to be at full strength for this series and both Love and Varejao are out for the Finals. The teams are already not at full strength.

I'm not sure how the Cavs would do if they had their best players all healthy but as it stands now I honestly expect a GS sweep.

I'll be shocked if it's a sweep. The Cavs' supporting cast has been playing so well, and I see LBJ dominating at least one game enough to win it. I think GS wins in six.

I think you'll see Green and Iguodala getting the lion's share of minutes guarding James and I think they'll do as credible a job as you can on a player that good. And unless the Warriors just have an off shooting game or Kyrie gets healthy quickly and goes off I don't see Cleveland beating them. Their offense is just too fluid and I think they are the better defensive team as well.

James' efficiency as a scorer is clearly down during these playoffs, but I think he's been passing and rebounding better than ever lately. Also, GS was certainly the better defensive team during the regular season, but with Thompson getting Love's minutes now I think the Cavs might be just as good on D (while sacrificing some offense in the process).

To be sure, I'm a Curry fan and I'm rooting for GS in general (and I want my boy David Lee to get a ring, even if he barely plays). But I don't see this as the walkover Vegas is expecting.

I get where your coming from. But Varejao hasnt played all year. Love got hurt in the first round and even then the Cavs werent firing on all cylinders. In my mind its the team after the Love injury is the one that really made it to the finals. Thompson starting at the 4 and giving them that defensive presence and offensive rebounding, and the wings spacing the floor finally. Atleast in my mind if Kyrie is good to go then the Cavs are at 100%.

Anyways on to the predictions. Seems like every year my friends give me crap cause it seems every year i make my prediction that Lebron is going to finally do something legendary, to put a stamp on his legacy. Ofcourse theyre Laker and ummm *cough* "Kobe fanboys" *cough*, dont want to use other language, so they automatically hate Lebron haha But damn it im sticking to my prediction, this is the year Lebron does something legendary!

Cavs in 6 at home.
