The right teams won yesterday to keep things interesting. Really, really hope the Clips can put the Rockets away tomorrow.

I can't see the Hawks getting past the Cavs, especially if Shumpert, Thompson and Delawhatever keep playing this well. Although I'm rooting for Atlanta because of Horford.Wow did not even realize all the 1s and 2s made it through. As far as any surprise to me atleast since i think the seeding is horrible, yeah i was surprised. But i can see how someone just deciding to tune is sees the matchups as expected. If the trend holds guess itll be GSW vs Atlanta

My primary and secondary teams are out, so it's down to alma mater affiliations for me. Each of the four remaining teams has a Florida Gator on it (Horford, Miller, Brewer and David Lee, though the latter isn't playing). Miller already has 2 rings, and Brewer technically has one from the Mavs (though he didn't play in the series).
That was a good read. And i agree part of the reason i personally somewhat loathe him is because i know he has the talent to just utterly dominate the right way. I was a HUGE fan of his in OKC. You know back where he didnt have the whole shot clock to burn a possesion, the minutes a game to even attempt to draw 20 free throws. It was plug me in, ok instant offense look what i can do.
Reminds me of a article i read a few weeks back where they were calling him the magician. Basically he gives the illusion of being a superstar, either by the box score lovers, or by the occasional sweet crossover or quick pull up. But not really an elite player among the ranks of the top 10 players in the league. Obviously his horrible defense doesnt help. I dont agree with all that but really dug the magician anology. Creates the illusion of a foul, creates the illusion of a walking triple double machine with empty stats, when he can just flat out go out and score over you if he just tried.
Wait, did you really just say Harden is not elite amongst the top 10 players in TODAY's league? Please tell me you meant top 10 of all time. Of course he doesn't even come close to par with the top 10 ever, but he is a top 5 elite player in today's league. I don't even know how you can argue that if you actually watch him play. Also, Harden can't play defense circle-jerk is getting pretty old. Harden has made leaps and bounds in his defense this season compared to the past couple.

Agree. He's like the new D-Wade: has all the tools to be a truly great player on both ends of the floor, but looks to flop at every opportunity, and takes lots of possessions off on defense...because it's easier than doing it as it was intended. The whole flopping thing turns me off any player, and Harden's are particularly ridiculous. The one against Griffin in that article is how I think of his game. You can call it "gamesmanship" or whatever, but it's lame and anyone who's honest would likely conclude that it's really more like "gaming the system". All IMO, of course. And none of this implies that tons of other players don't do the same at times, even those on teams I like.
