N.B.A. thread

Now as far as last nights game, man really hate to see DeMarre Carroll go down like that. Hope he isn't out. Last thing you want is to not see the 2 best teams in the east hit the court due to injury. And atleast in my eyes since I didnt follow him much he was having a break out postseason out of no where. I figured he was a good role player but hes been their leading scorer and best defender.

Did it really just play out exactly like a ignorant non-fan would have predicted if they'd seen the brackets ~4 weeks ago?

...and speaking of playing out exactly as predicted: Knicks had a 20% chance of getting 1st pick in the draft, and a 33% chance of getting 4th pick. So of course, they got 4th pick. My neighbors are raging.

Agree. He's like the new D-Wade: has all the tools to be a truly great player on both ends of the floor, but looks to flop at every opportunity, and takes lots of possessions off on defense...because it's easier than doing it as it was intended. The whole flopping thing turns me off any player, and Harden's are particularly ridiculous. The one against Griffin in that article is how I think of his game. You can call it "gamesmanship" or whatever, but it's lame and anyone who's honest would likely conclude that it's really more like "gaming the system". All IMO, of course. And none of this implies that tons of other players don't do the same at times, even those on teams I like.

It's funny a lot of Harden hater's don't actually watch the Rocket's play. They see some highlights - maybe watch 10 or so regular season games, and hop on the circle jerk. Not saying you don't watch the Rocket's play, but if you actually watch the games, you would realize 95% or so of the fouls on Harden are actually fouls, he just sells it well. Hell yeah Harden flops a lot, and hell yeah some of his flops look ridiculous, but in most cases, he is fouled.

James Harden tearing it up tonight and legit. See thats the James Harden I want to see taking the "I can score whenever I want approach, no tactics just straight up making any shots I take from anywhere on the court". Think they might pull off the win on the road.

Thats for sure. Home now so getting a chance look at the highlights on nbatv, 2 comments, first you can cleary see both defenders where glued to Harden the whole time why even go back to him. I know he was on it all game but make the smart basketball play.

Second, heat of the moment watching it live even i didnt notice, hell even i expected it to end in the hands of tonights best player, but watch Terrence Jones running the center of the lane. Wide open dunk. Yeah it would have gave GSW time on the clock but still go with the smart play. Great game though, that run to tie it back up at the half was awesome.

I know its not his game, but damn Dwight fake the pass back and you got the whole lane with almost 3 seconds left! You can even still kick it out to Terry if you wanted. Oh well
Dwight wanted nothing to do with that ball, that's for sure. Great game by Harden, though, I gotta admit.
As much as I dislike Howard, I think he did the right thing. He's not gonna split two guys while dribbling in from the top of the key, and he would have had no business taking a 20-footer with the game on the line.

I hear you. It just kind of looked like a game of hot potato on that video: "I don't want it....YOU take it!" :D

Great defense by Oakland the two quickest and sharp-minded players on the team with their eyes squarely on Harden, knowing that Houston was going to have to bank their last-second decision making on him. Great idea and it worked. They beat Harden at the mind-game; I can see why he was so ticked off at himself once the game was over

Yeah Houston's just done and their demeanor shows it. Atlanta has just had a bad string of injuries in this series and thats a shame. Still i feel Cleveland will have one game where they coast through it and give up a loss.
Nope. They totally brought it in game 4. Harden was amazing.
