NAD: Ampeg Micro VR in BLUE!

I got the Micro CL a few months ago, been gigging with it and and absolutely love it. Then I see the Micro VR in “limited edition” blue! Bought it on my phone in four clicks. The VR head can run both cabs. What a hoot. I’ve never been this stoked on amplification!

How do they compare with one another? Consensus here seems to be that the CL is garbage and not worth buying, but you obviously feel differently. I am interested in one of these stacks strictly for playing at home.

I’ve got only good things to say about the CL. It’s surprisingly loud. I wouldn’t play in a metal band with it, but it’s perfect for what I’m doing right now.
Can’t say much about the VR yet as I haven’t done a practice or gig with it. It’s a different gain/volume structure, meant to be dimed. I’m not hitting the limiter until 2 o’clock or so. The CL is shocking at 10 o’clock.

Awesome, thank you. Very helpful.

I'm happy that you love it! I got the red one a few years ago and I absolutely love it too.
It looks so cool!

So you still feel the CL is the better choice or after playing the VR a little more you’re changing your mind? I’m curious now.
As a standalone, the CL by a mile. It’s half the price, can handle any small or medium-size gig, put a mic on the cabinet or use the DI and it’s all you need.
The VR if you want to run multiple cabs.
