The band, or the city?My wife. Brings back some bad memories for her.
Got my vote, and I don't even own oneAria/Matsumoku.
Well, at least for anyone who has ever had the good fortune to play one of these instruments.
Matsumoku was the best builder of electric guitars and basses in the 70's and the 80's.
They built boutique guitars and basses before there was such a thing as boutique guitars and basses.
They had a number of brands, but my favorite has always been the Aria Pro II.
They made companies like Fender file law suits.
They made "in the know" players grin from ear to ear.
So yeah, that's is my vote.
Matsumoku.
Everybody likes Jeff Buckley. I assume. I haven't actually had barstool talk with Everybody. But lots of people and they all like Buckley.
Since i never liked KISS for their teenie stomper masquerade and their brute force rock'n'rolling, i never listened their version of the song. I am a very longtime fan of Argent and there's imo few musicians and bands that could adequately cover their songs ... on which i do not count KISS as first choice.
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
Building on this, The Traveling Wilburys.
I was just thinking I could name a band that nobody likesNickleback...ducks for cover.
