Name a band that everyone likes

For me, it's Dir en Grey, a Japanese metal band, that really defies genre. If you're into heavy sounds, freaky lyrics and singers that have a huge range, I highly recommend them.

If I had to chose a Western Band, I don't think I could. I could name bands I like in a specific genre...but overall, nope. Too many bands.

Captain Beefheart is one that 99% of the population would dislike. If you don't think so, put him on as background music kinda low at your next house party and see if anyone gets grumpy. Hmmmm, maybe the Feederz too.

Van Halen..not my favorite band but if there isn’t a Roth era VH song you can rock out to, you might be a space demon.

I thought EVERYBODY liked Van Halen when I was growing up (prior to the Hagar fiasco).

I agree with Fleetwood Mac, only until the girl and her boyfriend joined. After that they really were terrible. Everything up to "Heroes are Hard to Fine" is great, except maybe "Penguin".

I would say Miles Davis in all in incarnations. From the Prestige recordings, through "Kind of Blue", "Some Day my Prince Will Come", "In a Silent Way", "Bitches Brew", "On the Corner", "Water Babies", "At Montreaux (arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones).
