Has anyone mentioned Tommy Cogbill? How about Pops Popwell? Of course, these guys aren't as well known as a lot of the other players mentioned on this thread... I don't know of any reggae bassists getting dissed. How about Cachao? Maybe he gets criticized a lot in Cuba... Arthur Maia from Brazil? I don't know. So many great players out there that rarely get mentioned here on Talkbass...
Ahem. Sir, his title is William Murderface Murderface MURDERFACE. Dropping the third Murderface is like forgetting to wear underpants when you dress for work: Debatable importance, but a missed detail no less. Besides, he talks more trash about himself than the good folks at TB would ever bother to, so He's out by virtue of his own self-loathing.
How about Jeff Berlin ?? I've never heard anything bad about him, and he really is incredible at what he does.
HERE'S one you NEVER hear any bad comments about - Peter (Mars) Cowling. LOL...that's mostly because most have never heard of him. He's in my top 2 or 3 all time greatest list.
