I'm seriously wondering how long until dedicated 3 string basses come out for all the hardcore bands that just don't put on the G string.

I can see the advertisement now. John Campbell Peavy Signature 3 string, "cause G-strings are for strippers"

Yes, the bongo 6 is for real, and yes, the SR5 and the sterling will share the same electronics, but the body will be more like the actual sterling 4's, same pickguard and down sized body along with a slimmer neck than a SR5.
There's also rumors of a rosewood neck/fingerboard option.

Not being funny, or to be OT, but your the first person I ever heard say that (well, you didn't actually say it, but implied it) that you would like tighter spacing than a MM SR5 offers.
You do relize that when they mean slimmer as in tighter spacing as well???

One of the reasons I bought both a Lakland 5 and a F Bass Bn5 was I felt that my Stingray 5 was too narrow for a 5 string,too easy to pull the G string off the edge of the neck.

I see your Google skills are weak, young padawan. . .Basically, it's a trade show for instrument/amp/recording gear/all other musical stuff you can think of manufacturers. A lot of new products get announced/launched at NAMM.

Not at all,I just wanted to make a brief note of what it is for most musicians but believe me I more than know what it fully is but for the most part it really is a giant candy store
