I don't understand why. If the bass was sold at NAMM, whats it got to do with MTD?
Maybe he's just trying to jack the price up?
Regardless, that is a stunning bass!

Did you ever find out anything in regards to Celinder being there? I skipped 2day to watch the playoffs. lol
And yes the Flag bass was unreal to look upon in person. WOW
I hope there's more to it than than. As stated here (especially the "had to"), it sounds close to an illegal action (price control, forbidding or discouraging sales at a low price in order to inflate a marketplace). He stated he had to close the auction because MTD requested that he close it, due to the fact that the price it was selling for was far too low.
Seems that bass just popped in on ebay:

Nice bass, James...

Nothing against Stew or Bud, but I'd like to look at the bass![]()
Auction ended by request of MTD.
But Tobias broke new ground with designs way back in the day.
Pretty good NAMM show only drag is NAMM appeared to crack down on volume so a lot of stuff when demo'd was muffed sounding.

Read the prior posts man, no Sterling 5 or BOngo 6 til summer NAMM.
