narrowest 5-String neck?

Thanks for the tip, I looked at them---I think the Icon you have is great. Carvin is overlooked too much--they have some fine instruments. Hmmm, needs further looking into-----thanks for reminding about them. BTW, the Icon's neck smoothes into the body so there is not a big 'ol heel filling your hand and you can nicely play the upper notes, right?

absolutely, there is no heel, and you get effortless playability all the way up and down the neck.
 
Before you make a decision... play yourself an old (Pre-Gibson) tobias... I have an old Signature 5. Best playing 5 I have ever felt in my life... I have small hands... and this thing feels perfect. Not only is the neck just right string wise... but the depth of the neck is unbeleivably thin... the neck feels like it is half an inch deep... yet incredibly stable... I've had mine for 15 years... not one issue.

Make sure the serial number is under 2500 or so and you can tell the old ones have a nice wood cover on the back over the electronics compartment... the mass produced ones have plastic.
