Or shall I call this a Warvak? Novoth?
Warmoth lightweight alder short scale P body with flame maple top. Medium scale roasted maple neck, no finish (mmm, maple syrup aroma!). Curtis Novak Bisonic pickup. Babicz Full Contact bridge (complete with huge, tacky logo
). Fender lightweight tuners. T.I. Jazz Flats. Best part of all is the weight: 6 lbs 15 oz complete. Almost 2 lbs lighter than my Warmoth P/J build. Feels like an angel resting on my shoulder.
I haven't done a full setup yet. The strings and pickup poles are having a long-distance relationship. That worries me - I really don't want to have to use a plastic riser under that beautiful pickup. Does anyone know what the typical string-to-pole spacing should be on the Bisonics?
Also, my stacked knobs sit a good quarter-inch above the body. The gap looks dumb. But this knob set isn't hollow underneath to allow me to slide the knobs further down the shaft like your typical single knob. Does anyone know of a stacked knob set that might address this problem? The pot uses a metric shaft.
