NBD!!!!!!! 11 String Multiscale Extended Range Prometeus Bass! (Extended-Range Content)

Hey all you people! A dream of mine in the making for some years now has come true today. Influenced by @Jean Baudin and Yves Carbonne, I have wanted an extended range bass. Today my wish came true! I contacted Prometeus Guitars in August to begin building this instrument and I couldn't be more pleased with it today. @Triad did an excellent job, and paid such close attention to details and my wishes.
Now to the specs:
36 to 32 Multiscale
Tuned low C# to high Eb (D#) 17 mm spacing
1 firekeeper humbucker, volume and tone controls
All gold hipshot hardware.
Zebrawood headstock, knobs and toneblock.
Buckeye Burl body and pickup cover.
Wenge fingerboard.
Padauk/Padouk neck and center.
And a tiny cocobolo accent between the neck and body.

This bass has such an amazingly thin neck that I can comfortably reach all of the strings easily. It sounds incredible, and is so resonant.

Please no ERB hate here, I've wanted this for so long.
Well, it definitely goes to eleven!

Ty for the clip! That is one MONSTER bass. When I got my five string I thought "Yaaaaa.... more bass.. " but... after seeing that I started feeling inadequate. Then another thought popped in my head.....

(Sorry, have to do it) ..... "maybe he's overcompensating for something?"

Can't wait to hear more clips!
Over compensating for a lack of BASS. And for the first time in my life I could afford to get myself something nice, so I did. But I'm no different than anyone else, so 1 string or 100 strings, we're all just musicians.

I followed this build on his FB page as it was coming along - very cool to be able to hear about it now that it is in your hands!

Prometeus looks like great stuff, they *narrowly* missed the cut as being the builder I had a custom bass done with last year, and in retrospect I may have made the wrong choice! Next bass I guess... ;)

Anyway - looks amazing, enjoy it, love it!

Wow, that's one nice piece of woodworking. Not my cup of tea, but I hope you enjoy it.

Oh, and for the Jaco crowd, Tony Levin only needed 3 strings.

The first rock concerto ever attended was in 1989, D.A.D. opening for badlands. DAD's bassist had a 2 string P bass and a helmet that shot fire. I don't remember their music, probably for good reason, but I didn't forget that...

And always important to remember for all of us that you don't always have to use every string on every song, only what the song needs. But when you need that string and you don't have it because you "only needed 4," that does suck...

My barely gigging cover band plays at a big birthday bash for my friend's grandfather's birthday every year. We play basic standards. Lots of root and fifths kinda stuff. I'd like to show up with one of these one day to play Stand By Me.
Now what you do is tap the bassline with your right hand fingers and tap the melody chords with your left.
Play the whole song.
