NBD (1978 Fender Precision)

It's a 81 made with leftover parts. A lot of the Fenders from 1979 to the early '80s have 78 or 79 serial numbers. The sales weren't good and CBS wanted all left over parts to be used. Beautifull bass! One of my favourites is a '78 Jazz and I'm on the hunt for a P to go along with it like yours.

Thank you... I was a bit upset when I took it apart and saw the code on the pots, but I can't really get too upset considering what I paid for the dang thing with the condition it's in!
I'll be upgrading them anyway

I replaced my pickguard with a $20 reissue that tip close to the output jack is so prone to breaking.
My 76 Precision has an 83 neck replacing the original. I still call it a 76. Who cares what you call it as long as you call it "yours"? NICE!
