NBD: 2011 Fender 60th Anniversary P-Bass

I had another thread saying that I finally found this bass, again, after buying a StingRay instead when I had a chance at one of these. I'm really happy about this one...

I've been wanting one of these for a while and glad to finally have one in my hands! It's been a long time coming and now it's finally here. Got a GREAT deal on it, too.

Now I got to figure out what to name it...

Awesome bass. Definitely one of Fender's best over the past 10 or so years. I had one and now have a Select (but the 60th was wonderful).

Congrats. Those are great basses. I've got one of the two-tone sunburst fsr versions. Lightweight, clean tone, high-quality.

Got mine in 2011 and has been my main player ever since. ita the only bass in my current stable that hasn't been modified at all (except for strap locks, of course).

The 60th Anniversary P is the perfect P-bass. Enjoy yours!!

Yes. Great bass. I love mine. Saw it at GC in NYC, pulled it down off the rack and it just sang. I went in to the store to by a pick.

beauty ... ! ... frets look similar to my newer used Fender P/J , where someone leveled them but didn't crown them after ... I picked up a fairly cheap crowning file from StewMac ... makes pretty simple work of crowning ... then smooth/polish ...

The neck on my blonde has similar figuring, very beautiful. I wonder if they were built around the same time. The first five digits of the serial number on my blonde is 11121___. I mention this out of curiosity as the neck on my sunburst one is not nearly as pretty.
