NBD: 6-string!!

I finally got it! Some of you may remember my Almost NBD thread a few weeks ago talking about how my bass had to sit at my grandma's house until i officially graduated college and could take it home with me. Well that day finally came and here she is!:hyper: (with my photo-bombing cat!)

I've only got to play it at one band practice but I can already tell I'm gonna love it and have a steep learning curve! This is my first extended range bass and first active bass, so I gotta get used to the two extra strings and the added tweakability, but hey thats half the fun!:bassist:

Congratulations bro!!! I started playing 6 strings last year and love them!!!! I even looked at that exact model earlier this week. Ibanez has some great looking and playing basses out right now. That one is sweet!!! O Happy Day!!!

Sweet bass! Six strings are a lot of fun and you can start to explore chords, harmonies, solo bass, etc. more now. The B is always useful. I'm about to sell my Warwick 6 (I think...) but if I got another six it would probably be a SR506 - good price, good looks, light, tried-and-tested model. Enjoy!

Oh, and I sense a Star Wars fan...

yeah a little bit of a Star Wars fan, i named my dog after an Ewok, Wicket. and the picture that looks like the movie one sheet from A New Hope is actually a photoshopped pic from my wedding. my wife loves renaissance stuff so we had a theme wedding with everyone in costume and held it at a castle. on the front steps of the castle i made her do the Star Wars pose as I held my sword up and one of my buddies shopped it into the poster for us.

That's brilliant! Planning a wedding riight now, let's see if I can sneak in some Star Wars somewhere...

Again, congratulations on the new bass. I'm in search of a fiver right now and am considering the SR505. To me, this 'level' of Soundgear's (SR500/505/ 506) seem like the industry standard for modern construction and tone. Good luck with the practice and have fun!
