Tungsten lighting and photo processing can paint lipstick on a pig. Have you tried a light polish then holding it up under the light to see if it looks better to you? But, the one thing photo processing can't do (save for the debacle of the "photoflame" finished Fender tried for a limited time decades ago) is the characteristics of the flame top, kind of like no two fingerprints are the same. Have you really looked closely at the top to see if the stripes match? They probably don't. But if you are bonding with it, a good luthier or furniture man can help you bring the most out of what the finish has to offer. Nice bass. My favorite color is also blue.
