NBD and a great Craigslist story.

I didnt find anything that I would deem unacceptable about the finish. In fact it's downright beautiful. She sounds better then she looks. Im still trying to dial everything in, as this is my first active bass, and I think she needs a new set of strings, but the tone blows my Fernandes LEB Jazz out of the water.

The strings are brand new DR Hi Beams. It doesn't need new strings yet. They are stainless so they SHOULD last you a while.

And yes I gave you that bass. That's how I know that.

You know my email, dude, shoot me an email for what I told you about yesterday when I emailed you. It's good to see you are using it.

Are you sure you got the right bass? He may have grabbed the wrong gig bag when he headed for the door. he may come asking for his bass back with a pile of firewood in his arms.

He got the right bass. I bought it as a "B stock". There are some hairline cracks you can't see in the photo at all, but if you look closely they are there.

There was one bigger crack I repaired on the cocobolo top as well but you can't tell from looking at it that it was ever repaired. I work on my own stuff and take pride in that.

But he for sure got the right bass, no need to worry I want it back, it's his free and clear. I'm just glad he's enjoying it.
