That's a beauty! Out of curiosity, what was your final pickup height?

Finally got around to taking some pickup height measurements....

When it comes to measurements, I'm the world's worst. I've always set up basses just by feel, sound, and "does it look right?". And I've been pretty happy so far.

I'm just gonna post some pics I tried to make while holding the ruler in place. I had to take the picture and blow it up because, and I hates to admit it, I need new glasses and/or some stronger reading glasses. I've recently been thinking this as I've soldered a few things.

Anyway, here's the pics. As I said, I'm gonna keep the picks so I can get back to these measurements if I ever need to.

Keep in mind, I've had the bass for three days now. Plating it though my studio speaker system and headphones. I haven't had a change to play with it through my bass rig or play it through my wireless in-ears. So the measurements are subject to change once I play the bass in more situations as well as my band's FOH guy and the other recording engineer I work with sharing their thoughts about.

Hope this helps! And I'm open to suggestions for making better and more accurate measurements like this.....
