Is this your first Carvin? Well grats in either case.

Just give it time to settle in with each adjustment and the weather conditions of your area vs. San Diego. I know you already know this but it's hard to let a Carvin sit in the case and NOT play it. Grrrr.

I think the maple gives it a nice bright sound...its heavy, but I like heavy basses...

On the eve of receiving my 4th Carvin (and after first adjustments and a rehearsal on it), I thought it would be fun to look up TB threads about my newest aquisition: a IC5 wide...hence a quick comment on this old thread.

To anyone wanting clips with an all-maple (neck and body) LB75, I'm sure I could dig some up as that's been my main bass since 1999. Send me a PM (because this thread is old and I'm on the iPad currently anyhow).

I love my new Icon with the J99 radiused pickups and the Bromberg pre. I've had many carvin pickup combos...kept some, changed some. It depended on what I wanted from the bass.
