NBD Double Shot - Fender & EBMM

Just wanted to share some happiness. We could all use some of that.

I decided to overhaul my bass stable, and now have only these 2. Since they arrived within a week of each other, I combined them into one thread.

Very happy with both. Great tone and easy to play with a little personal setup.

Up first:
Fender American Performer Precision with some extras I added.

Congrats on 2 new instruments...I think I like the P-bass better, although the MM is a beauty, its a tad much for me...but it ain't mine so it just don't matter! lol

Curious, I like the tort PG but, could you go without a pick guard on the P? or is the routing not clean enough...

Absolutely stunning pair.

The tort guard is the perfect upgrade to the performer, and, well, the Ray is just stunning. EBMM pulled out all of the stops on this build. Congratulations, Play them for many years in great health.

Great choices. You've got the bases covered with these 2. The light maple jumps off the blue, great looking P.
The Ray is awesome. They did a nice change up with the new colors. That thing is a killer. The neck is smoking.

Yep. Active, but I believe it has been tamed somewhat in the treble based on my recollection of my last Stingray (2006) - not necessarily a bad thing depending on personal taste. With the right set of rounds, I think a razor's edge vibe could be achieved.
