I assumed from your previous experience discussing this instrument you would have realized it's a replica. Do you still not understand that it is a replica?

I picked up the virtual issue of the Bass Player magazine Cliff just appeared in. He explains that Power Up was recorded with a Stingray (probably his main and not the new replica), mic'ed Ampeg, an Avalon U5 DI, and one other DI for a blend of signals.

Right on. and yes... his original stingray is what I meant. However, EBMM did such a great job with the relic that he could switch and no one would ever know. The original should probably be in the rock n' roll hall of fame.

I believe it's nitro. I believe EB has a podcast that starts with an interview with Cliff and then ends with one of the folks who worked on these for the last year +. He referenced working with nitro. And it sure smells like nitro as well...

EBMM did and amazing job on that bass. I don't think I've seen more detailed and realistic aged replication ever
