That's Awesome! I love that the went to the detail of ripping out the mute pads. Such a cool instrument. I really like that without fret wear they did a nice job on the neck. Lots of relic basses look like new necks on worn bodies, this is done really well. Congrats.
Enjoy that loudly. Let 'em know a bass player lives next door.

Glad you're happy with it! I've been wanting to do a NBD with mine (#25) but I've been quite busy and haven't gotten around to it. FWIW, I played a gig with it the day after it came in - and it's definitely all "Cliff". A little hotter than my SR Classic and I think there is a more balanced tone across this pickup. No "boomy" E string that I sometimes notice. Also, it helps if you really play the poop out of those heavy flats

I got a little nervous when I picked it up yesterday because there was a big hole in the outer box. Fortunately everything turned out great. Anyway, you should post a NBD for #25 and give a little detail of your experience from a gig perspective. I'm merely an at-home dabbler and an AC/DC fan.

I agree. Perhaps it comes from my many younger years of being an artist, but lines, symmetry, general aesthetics, etc. are a big deal to me for many things including instruments (hence my disliking of the admittedly naturally occurring knots). Number 26 was auto-assigned to me, but I love its particular look!

I'm not one to spend that kinda dough on a bass, but OP can afford it and it makes them happy, so it's all good.

Well, it finally arrived, and man, is this Stingray bass sexy! The attention to detail is amazing. The relic wear, with the intention of replicating Cliff's bass, is really well done, and the paint checking is the best I've personally seen so far on a relic instrument. On top of that, it's extremely cool to get a brand new, "vintage" Stingray!

@Scott Ball You and the other guys at EBMM did a fantastic job with this bass, and I feel fortunate to be in a position to own one. More importantly, it serves as a great tribute to the man himself, Cliff Williams. I'm sure I speak for at least a few others when I say to keep this Icon line going! If Louis Johnson, Bernard Edwards, or Pino Palladino are considered, I know where I'll be looking for my next bass!

Anyway, before I go listen to a little AC/DC to wrap up the night (with perhaps a little Strawberry Letter 23 thrown in the mix), here's a few pictures of number 26!

Great cause my dad died of it at age 93 but I can honestly say that my dad up in heaven would totally haunt me if I spent $7,000.00 on a Musicman bass. And I am very sure Sterling Ball is writing off this expense. He is a very smart businessman . I can't tell you what to do with your $ my fellow bassist but in IMHO in this day and age 7 g's could go a long way towards other things! But I will not piss on your parade. Enjoy and cherish that bass!
