NBD EBMM Sterling

Been looking for a rosewood board sterling for a little while. The TB classifieds paid off! Bit of a chip in the clear coat on the back that I wasn't expecting, but life goes on. Bass is intended to be gigged pretty hard anyhow. It plays great, sounds great, color is awesome. Price was good. Finally sold my 4003, got a new sterling and cash towards a new cab. Not a bad day!

I absolutely hated that Ric. I was selling a Ric and bought a sterling. It just happened to work out on the same day. Either way the Ric was headed out the door.

It was a lesson learned. I wanted a Ric for years. Finally got my hands on one and played it. Felt pretty good. Figured I'd grab one off reverb and pay less than what was in the store. Boy. Every Ric is not the same in the neck department. This one had a much fatter neck. And I tried like all hell to enjoy it. I had it for a year. And we never jived. Was on a mission to get a tone hammer head , sl410x cab, and another sterling. I have a new baby soooo...sold to finance other adventures. And honestly the Ric was very pretty, but I'd take a sterling over a 4003 anyday

I'll get another one. But it'll be one I can't put down. Was too much money to just sit there and stare at, no matter how good it looked.

Oh yeah. That tangerine is one of the best colors in instruments. I'd love a L2000 in it. This color is interesting. It's very orange but also very very gold in certian light. "Desert gold" is a fitting name. But I really enjoy it. Much better than I was expecting!

Nice. Sterlings are great. I've had my fretted and fretless '95s for years and they still make me smile.

In all seriousness, that is a choice score. And yeah I'd take the EBMM over the Ric any day.

Not to highjack the thread for this awesome bass but the G&L is actually call tangerine metallic and it has a considerable more amount of metallic to it. Both are awesome colors! Congrats on the Sterling! Killer bass for sure. It’s hard to beat a MM!

Congrats! Nice bass!!! My opinion is that the Sterlings have the nicest necks of any bass out there. They are just so easy to play. Enjoy!
