That is a US made Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling, not the cheaper “Sterling by Music Man” basses. I would take the Sterling over a Ric any day.
Ohh that teal Sterling is fancy.. is that a SUB Sterling?View attachment 3431986the rest of my EBMM family
Been looking for a rosewood board sterling for a little while. The TB classifieds paid off! Bit of a chip in the clear coat on the back that I wasn't expecting, but life goes on. Bass is intended to be gigged pretty hard anyhow. It plays great, sounds great, color is awesome. Price was good. Finally sold my 4003, got a new sterling and cash towards a new cab. Not a bad day!View attachment 3431388 View attachment 3431389 View attachment 3431390 View attachment 3431391
Yessir. One of the US SUBs. Got it off the classifieds here also. Someone put a series/parallel switch in it also.Ohh that teal Sterling is fancy.. is that a SUB Sterling?
Ahhhh my white sterling has tort!!!! Maybe one day I'll switch it to black. I'll buy another 4003 someday. Just going to make sure I play it first and dig the neck profile this time.I have a Ric and an EBMM Sterling 4H. I’d part with neither.
Best part: no tort or flats.
Yeah I thought so. I wanted one of those so bad when they came out. That textured paint always looked awesome to me.Yessir. One of the US SUBs. Got it off the classifieds here also. Someone put a series/parallel switch in it also.
You can find them here and on reberb. Just watch for a while and wait for the right deal. The teal was an instant need for me. I paid the asking price of 600. Some can be had for as low as 450.Yeah I thought so. I wanted one of those so bad when they came out. That textured paint always looked awesome to me.
Next time out is June 29! If you like punk/ska music that is.That's a beauty, neighbor! Hope to see that one being played around town real soon!
Yessir, I'm sorry I just saw this today! It has a series/parallel switch for a few different flavorsOhh that teal Sterling is fancy.. is that a SUB Sterling?
I don't miss the Ric at all. I've still got a few hundred bucks hanging out towards the next acquisition. I really disliked that particular Ric. I'll probably get another one day. But I'm much happier owning my second sterling.Don't feel the least bit regretful giving up a RIC for that Sterling. I did the same thing yesterday. The Sterling is a superior instrument in playability, design, and workmanship, regardless of current market prices.
Disclaimer - I have another RIC. This is my first and only Sterling.
