I owned both a P and J, both MIM. Great instruments for the price but sadly they were unappreciated (by me) and regrettably sold.

Don't do it! Love that bass as is, man, and get the road-worn look by playing it every day.

I am so happy with this bass. I run it through a Tech21 BDDI direct in to the back of my Bassman 60. I get so many different tones, none of which are bad. Only issue, a little fret buzz on E. Not enough to transfer through the amp though. The finish on body and fretboatd is killer. Kinda neat to look down ond see the fretboatd glistening.

The more I play this thing (2-3 hrs/day), the more I realize this is way too great an instrument for my limited ability. Wow, this thing just plays so sweet. Even with quickly changing humidity levels we have seen lately, I have not had to adjust a thing. She holds my set up perfectly.

Honestly, I had never thought of the combo before. I LOVE maple fretboards, but never thought about it with white, until I saw this thing. Glad a I didn't just foo foo it for that.

I was considering the pu covers. The bridge P/U is bigger than the neck/mid. I thought that was interesting as I was not aware they did that on any but American made.
Also, wondering if I should try a different pickguard. But just not sure what.
