I like tort, but not sight unseen. Some I have seen are just...well POOR. Black may be best bet.

Ok, I finally succumbed to my feeling not worthy of such a sweet bass. Tiday I returned the 2013 white beauty, WE really need the cash. I could not get full price returned, but they let me use $150+ as in store credit. So, I bought the only thing they had for $150. 1992 Fender Jazz MIM. Came with a case and new strings. Got her home, tore it down cleaned and tightened evrything...SWEET, uet another winner MIM.

Very nice! There is great stuff coming out of Fender's Mexican factory these days.

I am really enjoying it. Only complaint, it has Schaller tuners, and the D and G seem a bit sloppy, as in they freely move a bit before they adjust the string. The p/u's sound great. The truss rod works perfectly. Need new hardware though. They are all rusty.

All-in-all, great deal on a great FENDER. Yes, I am a Fender snob. I have just always loved them.
