OK I know I said I was done, but I was gassing hard for a PJ bass, and this is one of the coolest looking and per reviews a great sounding bass, so I went for it.... Pics:

Gave it a quick setup when I got home (didn't need much) and played it for about an hour and I can confirm all the reviews... it really sounds great, is very versatile and light weight. Very happy with it!

Nice!
How much does it weigh?
A couple of threads by TBrs with shoulder/back problems have popped up recently.

Thanks! 8.4 pounds per my bathroom scale

Cool looking bass!!
Mind to share some bridge close shot image? The bridge finish look like cosmo chrome black and the saddle colour quite unique.

Thanks! I tried multiple times to get some closeups but there is either too much glare or my photog skills sucks and/or my camera itself isn't the greatest but anyway, I believe Fender calls it "Smoked Chrome" so yeah, it's not quite black but not shiny chrome either. Looks very sharp :)

Yep, Fender calls it "Smoked Chrome", while Gotoh calls it "Cosmo Black". Basically, they're the same thing…a darkened chrome finish.

Photographing smoked chrome can sometimes be a pain in the butt. Depending on the lighting and the camera settings, it can look like poorly-lit chrome. However, if you have something nearby to act as a comparative reference…

…then the smokey-ness really shows through. Then again, most anything will look cooler with a bitchin' Frank Miller "Daredevil" poster in the background. :D

Nice. I've been thinking about one at my downtown Long & McQuade.
Gotta head down there and check it out. Yeah I need another bass haha!

Funny, with a number of basses to choose from, I have been usually grabbing a pj jazz bass special, with the pre pickup on. I wonder if the aerodyne can displace it...

Picked one up used from GC. Put on heavy gauge (55-110) D'Addario Half-Rounds. Dropped the action as low as it would go on the "E" string with no fret buzz. I'm no expert, but it definitely seems like the bridge is the weak link on this guitar. Interestingly, mine does not have the "strat" plug receptacle. It is CIJ, not MIJ. That said, it sounds great through both my V4-b/212av and Micro VR/2x210av.
