NBD Fender Aerodyne Score

look what it did to the price of homes, who in the working class can afford one now? there are other examples and similar factors with instruments but these have stalled in resale value and at this price level I don't see the point unless that few bux is somehow a priority. I get it, and good for you, but in music I'd rather see sweet deals go to someone who's really going to appreciate it and develop the positives. hopefully that will be you.

The difference being, of course, that there's a lot more new basses being made every year than new homes... IMO they aren't comparable markets.

My #1 is an Aerodyne. I upgraded the pickups to Geezers and it's a monster. Great playing neck, great range of tones, easy on the shoulder, and a gorgeous instrument. You'll probably do ok flipping it, but you might see if it is as much fun for you to play as mine is for me!
Did the same, Hi-Beams and Geezers woke my beast up

That's a Beauty from the first introduction of the Aerodyne Jazz Bass. I have the latest edition, the only change was the addition of a Stratocaster style cord jack on the front. I would keep that jewel of an Bass. It's got the clearest high register of any bass I've played. Here' a picture of mine, it's my #1 bass.
Great score!

there are comparisons, and yes far more basses are made than homes, but anybody can buy a sweet quality bass today whereas in the US at least half the population will never be able to even dream of owning a home cos nobody is making good and very cheap houses, plus few are making googobs of money to afford what is available, so there goes that analogy. the good news is the op is warming to his classy looking bass, I mean, who couldn't?

So I saw this on marketplace this morning for $550 w/Rumble 100 amp
I asked how much for just the Bass and they replied $300 and I pounced
According to the serial # its a 2002-2004 CIJ and its in mint condition
Seller said the pickups were upgraded long ago, didn't remember what kind
Came with SKB hard case, Levys strap w/locks and a really nice cable
And yes I am probably going to flip it :)

Keep it, it's dope

I’ve had one for a few years and absolutely love it. I’ll admit though, it’s a living room queen because, I would be bummed if the finish got a bad ding in it. At any rate, with la Bella black tapes it spoils me from ease of playing. I was not a fan of the stock pups and swapped for EMG Geezer set with complete satisfaction.
Enjoy the neck, weight and ergos. She’s a beaut!

Are Aerodynes short scale or standard?
