SO now that I've played it for a couple of hours I am starting to develop a bit of a crush on it, could be love? All I know is this thing is a real gem might end up keepin her, especially since I don't have any other Bass's at the moment. Been playing guitars lately...
Also I am pretty sure its stock, I opened up the back cover and all the solders/wiring looked factory to me.

I asked how much for just the Bass and they replied $300 and I pounced
According to the serial # its a 2002-2004 CIJ and its in mint condition
Seller said the pickups were upgraded long ago, didn't remember what kind
Came with SKB hard case, Levys strap w/locks and a really nice cable
And yes I am probably going to flip it

The best version (when they still used vintage sized frets, as opposed to the mediums they use now), at a great price...and with an SKB case? Incredible. I wish it had been me! Congratulations.
Yeah I think this is the 1st year of production for this model? These Japanese necks are definitely on par w/USA IMO
Same here!Congrats on the score and flipping it will likely be profitable. Those basses are absolutely awesome and fit just about any style, mine is the most played in the (humble) stable.
You’ll kick yourself if you sell it without gigging it... it’s a beaut to play live
I love the early Aerodyne necks. I feel like a made a very good move by buying my Aerodyne Tele back then. Have had it since new, and it's not going anywhere.

I tried one identical a couple of years ago it was a little beat up, but good condition considering year. I just couldn’t get it’s vibe. Put it back. Didn’t last long, sold very quickly.

Sharp edges and no fret markers will chase off some people. I think it make the bass look more stealthy.
Hard to replace it with a bass of the same build quality for that kind of money.
A little OT. I bought my son a really nice Yamaha Weddington Custom when he was in high school. He moves out and leaves the guitar with me for 7 years. Asked me to bring it to him. I get there and tell him, never sell this, you will never come across another guitar with this build quality in life for the money I paid for it, nothing will ever surpass it. You want to get rid of it, call me, I'll buy it back.
Hard to replace it with a bass of the same build quality for that kind of money.

Really nice score! I still miss the one I had. Paid about the same, but it was heavily modified. Last time I was in the market for a 4-string, I had getting another one of those in mind, but a local deal on a nice Precision popped up. You should have no problem selling it, enjoy it while you have it, though!
