NBD - Fender Solid Rosewood Limited Jazz Bass!

I placed an order in early December and the UPS Santa just dropped it off. It's sort of cold, so I'm going to let is sit for an hour or so. In the meantime...any guesses?

I just opened the case and the bass is still really cold. However, I did snap some pictures! She looks like a beaut!

Wow, Fender did a nice job with this bass! Very quiet, no hum. The neck really feels great and it sounds and plays great. Any questions, just ask.

This neck feels like the best neck I've ever played. I have a Dingwall ABZ with a Wenge neck and I think this may feel better to me. Possibly more familiar? Really like this bass and the case came with a nice Fender pouch!

Wow, that's some very dark rosewood...looks great!

The P bass comes in Surf Green.
Definitely nice when Fender does something a little different, especially since some people (including yours truly) say they're always doing the same old, same old.

The bass is pretty light. No neck dive. I'll check in on a scale, but I'm thinking 8.5 lbs. I think the CITES thing was covered on another thread....apparently this is not going overseas!

Maybe this is how Fender has decided to rapidly reduce its rosewood inventory since it's become non-exportable? Use it for everything until it's gone.

DAMN! Stock photos do not do these basses justice. Very good looking instrument there @BigDrew!

A minor detail, but is the Fender logo, 'Jazz Bass', and serial # etched into the wood itself? If so, that's pretty nifty!
