Hey, it's the bass that made me want my Flea! Shell pink is such a great and unique color that seems to be made for offsets.
I have to agree with you on the neck feel. It's such a nice full shape, without being awkward or chunky, and oddly a little fuller than the neck on my Flea '61 reissue.
Hit it with a little fretboard oil, like the tech at my gc did with some Dr. Duck's, and the grain really comes out while taking away some of that "raw" feeling.
