I thought my collection was complete. Well, I always had GAS for a vintage Gibson EB-2 but they were way out of my budget. And then I found one online here in NL, for a decent price. Non-original knobs and switch (pots are original), non-original truss rod cover and a non-original case. But boy is this bass amazing. So happy.

I played one of these in high school for a couple of weeks. Even played my first gig with the band I’m in today (50 years ago) on it. I borrowed it from a very trusting (apparently) acquaintance. My recollection was it played really well, obviously a much more expensive instrument than a Fender, and sounded sufficiently “bassy). Sadly, I had to give it back. LOL!

Congrats!
